About us...

Who We Support:

YouThrive Academy supports children and young people aged 8 to 17 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), or who are struggling to engage with mainstream education. This includes those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD),  Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and mild to moderate learning difficulties, as well as those with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Our provision is open to all children and young people who require a more flexible, nurturing, and trauma-informed approach to learning.

We offer a safe, inclusive environment where learners can re-engage with education, gain recognised qualifications, and build the foundations for long-term success. Our tailored support—delivered through small group or one-to-one sessions—focuses on developing the skills, resilience, and confidence needed to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

We recognise that many of our learners have experienced disruption, instability, or adversity, and we are committed to offering them a meaningful second chance. By reconnecting them with learning, we promote independence, restore self-belief, and equip them with the tools to face the future with confidence.

At YouThrive, we don’t just help children get by—we help them thrive.

What We Offer:

We offer a creative and ambitious programme designed to support children and young people in re-engaging with learning, gaining skills, qualifications, and work experience at a pace that suits them.

Our provision offers hands-on, practical learning opportunities that are often better suited to learners who struggle in traditional academic settings, while also supporting those who may wish to return to mainstream education in the future.

Learners will:

⇒ Achieve accredited qualifications such as ASDAN and Functional Skills (Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2)

⇒ Rebuild confidence, develop motivation, and grow in independence

⇒ Learn how to write a CV, apply for jobs, and prepare for interviews

⇒ Take part in real-world work experience, tailored to their interests and abilities

⇒ Receive 1:1 support in a trauma-informed, flexible, and encouraging setting

⇒ Be given a clear pathway back into mainstream education, if and when they are ready

Our goal is to offer each learner not just education, but a renewed sense of purpose and possibility—equipping them with the tools to thrive now and in the future.
