At YouThrive, learners can work towards:
- Functional Skills in English, Maths and Digital Skills
– Entry Level to Level 2
– Practical, real-life skills to help with reading, writing, speaking, number and ICT work.
– Ideal for learners who did not achieve GCSEs or need a fresh start in core subjects - Vocational Qualifications
– Focused on employment skills, personal development, and preparing for the workplace
– Examples include: Employability Skills, Health and Safety, Career Planning, and Customer Service
ASDAN...
Many of our learners have faced barriers such as special educational needs, mental health challenges, or disrupted school experiences. Therefore, we offer ASDAN courses because they align with our inclusive, trauma-informed approach to education. Their flexible, activity-based framework enables children to achieve accredited outcomes while developing essential life skills and a sense of self-worth.
At YouThrive, young people can work towards:
Independence Skills Courses: Focused on building practical life skills such as communication, teamwork, budgeting, independent living, and community involvement—helping learners grow in confidence and prepare for adulthood.
Moving On Courses (Employability-Focused): Designed to support learners as they prepare for their next steps, including CV writing, interview preparation, and understanding the world of work—ideal for those aiming to enter employment, apprenticeships, or further training, amongst many other courses that ASDAN offer, including qualifications.
