At YouThrive Academy, all qualifications are fully accredited and designed to support NEET young people in gaining real-world skills, boosting confidence, and preparing for future progression into college, apprenticeships, or employment.
We work with two nationally recognised awarding bodies: ASDAN and OpenAwards.
ASDAN 🧩
We offer ASDAN programmes because they align with our inclusive, trauma-informed approach to education. Many of our learners have faced barriers such as special educational needs, mental health challenges, or disrupted school experiences. ASDAN’s flexible, activity-based framework enables them to achieve accredited outcomes while developing essential life skills and a sense of self-worth.
At YouThrive, young people can work towards:
- Independence Skills Courses: Focused on building practical life skills such as communication, teamwork, budgeting, independent living, and community involvement—helping learners grow in confidence and prepare for adulthood.
- Moving On Courses (Employability-Focused): Designed to support learners as they prepare for their next steps, including CV writing, interview preparation, and understanding the world of work—ideal for those aiming to enter employment, apprenticeships, or further training
Open Awards 📖
Open Awards provides flexible, high-quality qualifications that are widely respected by colleges and employers.
At YouThrive, learners can work towards:
- Functional Skills in English and Maths
– Entry Level to Level 2
– Practical, real-life skills to help with reading, writing, speaking, and number work
– Ideal for learners who did not achieve GCSEs or need a fresh start in core subjects - Vocational Qualifications
– Focused on employment skills, personal development, and preparing for the workplace
– Examples include: Employability Skills, Health and Safety, Career Planning, and Customer Service
